3D Change was set up to work with businesses and organisations to promote disability and equality. I was tasked by marketing agency Mabox, with a brief to generate a full brand identity, one that reflected their core values and sector. The brand should be elegant, versatile, accessible and one that could sit alongside their many partner organisations. I devised the concept, the mark itself and a full branding suite and supporting marketing materials.
With this project I saw an opportunity to create a mark consistent with 3D Change’s values, but present them in an engaging and contemporary manner. I eventually arrived at the concept of an object breaking apart, based on connotations of freedom, progression and development. This idea found shape in 3 sides of a stylised cube, designed to represent a dynamic approach to disability in the workplace. This, as well as the distinct typeface and colour palette, positioned the brand as forward thinking and premium – something vitally important when sitting alongside prolific partner brands.
Using the angles of the break-out cube as a graphic device, I devised a dynamic visual identity for printed communications. Upon client approval I prepared a full brand suite including guidelines, A4 factsheets and a folder, stationery and other materials as necessary. This resulted in a very happy client, a robust brand, and a mark that is still in use since 2009.
