Red Square Press Campaign
- Client: Red Square Creative Consultants
- Skills: Press Advertising
Red Square Creative Consultants are one of London’s leading residential interior design firms, offering a comprehensive portfolio of design and architectural concepts. I won a pitch to conceptualise, design and develop a press campaign that ran in 2011. The campaign needed to be high-end, contemporary and aspirational. It would need to focus on their USP (bespoke and tailored creative solutions) and would form the basis for subsequent print communications.
The idea was to create something that engaged the audience, and reflect the brand’s values. As most of the advertising in property trade/consumer press tended to follow the same template, the ads all blurred into one after a certain point, and the viewer’s experience and interaction became a passive one.
So the campaign had to be one that stood out, and in some way encouraged the viewer to investigate or at least earned their interest. I knew I wanted the ad to have some sort of connection to the medium – in this case press – and the printed page. Therefore the ads felt designed for the magazine, in the same way Red Square’s work felt designed for the individual. We also needed the ads to look and feel like premium pieces, to give Red Square as much credibility and robustness as possible.
